Gaetano Della Corte was born in 1972 in Naples (Italy). In 1998 he got his Diploma in Structural Engineering at the University of Naples Federico II. From 1999 through 2001 he was Ph.D. student in Structural Engineering at the Department of Structural Analysis and Design of the same University, getting the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in 2002. From 2003 he is Assistant Professor at the same Department of the same University.
He is author of about 50 papers, published in both National and International Conference Proceedings and Journals. These papers deal with several subjects in the following fields: seismic response of steel structures, housing with cold-formed in seismic zone, fire resistance of steel structures, seismic response analysis and retrofitting of existing RC buildings, composite materials, earthquake engineering.
He is active member of both national and international research projects in the general field of Structural Engineering.
