Beatrice Faggiano was born in Naples (Italy) in 1972. Since 2005 she is assistant professor in Structural Engineering at the Dept. of Structural Analysis and Design of the University of Naples “Federico II”. At the same University she got in 1997 the Diploma in Structural Engineering, in 2001 the Ph.D. in Structural Engineering. From 2001 to 2004 she had some contracts for teaching activities in the field of Structural Engineering. She is member of scientific committees of National and International Conferences focusing on metallic structures. She is author of more than 40 papers, published in both National and International Conference Proceedings and Journals, dealing with several research fields: seismic response of steel structures, fire resistance of metallic structures, analysis and design of the submerged floating tunnels, analysis and retrofitting of existing wooden structures. She is member of both national and international research projects in the general field of Structural Engineering.
